FLL Team Wins Champions Award!

Cortechs Robotics believes it is very important to inspire younger students to pursue STEM activities and continue to innovate. In order to achieve this, Cortechs Robotics mentors FLL Team #4486, the Robot Whisperers. Students of Cortechs Robotics share their past FLL experiences with the Robot Whisperers, while encouraging and inspiring them to continue into the FRC program. This allows Cortechs Robotics to help create the future engineers of the world. The Robot Whisperers recently won the Champions Award at the regional competition, and are excited
for states!

FIRST Lego League, or FLL, introduces young people, ages 9 to 14, to the fun and excitement of science and technology. There are three main parts of FLL: Core Values, The Robot Game, and Project. Core Values focuses on team work and cooperation, and assesses how the team works together as a unit.  The Robot Game is where the team builds and programs a fully autonomous Lego Mindstorms robot that solves missions on a 8 by 4 feet board.  The Project is where teams focus on solving a real-world problem that is directly related to the current year’s theme. Overall , FLL introduces young students to STEM by allowing them to build robots and solve real world problems while building teamwork skills.
